Methodology
- Source. Every price is read directly out of
js/instant-quote-pricing.js, the pricing engine the public Instant Quote tool runs in the browser. That file's own prices trace to Adam's ASO Roofing Supply invoice #66772, dated 3/27/2026, a 31.34 square job. We do not retype or estimate a number for this page -- the script that builds it reads the same file the tool runs on. - What's included. Material unit price only. Not labor, not the permit, not disposal, and not our service fee. Those are explained on the Cost Plus pricing page.
- Sales tax. Texas sales tax of 8.25% applies to materials at checkout and is not included in the unit prices shown here.
- Update cadence. Monthly. If a supplier price changes between updates, the Instant Quote tool reflects it immediately; this page catches up on the next monthly run.
- What this is not. A general Houston roofing material price index across suppliers. It is what one supplier charges one contractor, published because that is the number we actually quote from.
Common Questions
Where do these prices come from?
The same file our Instant Quote tool runs on, js/instant-quote-pricing.js, which traces to our own supplier invoice. Nothing on this page is estimated separately from what we actually quote.
Does this include labor or the permit?
No. These are material unit prices only. Labor, permit and our service fee are added on top, and the full breakdown is on the Cost Plus pricing page.
How often is this updated?
Monthly. Each update appends a new row for every material to the CSV rather than replacing the old numbers, so the file builds a price history over time.
