Handyman & Small Repairs

The jobs too small for a specialist, priced without the small-job penalty.

Most small repairs go unfixed for the same reason. A specialist will not come out for forty minutes of work, and the ones who will often price the visit rather than the job, so a two hundred dollar repair arrives as a six hundred dollar bill and you decide to live with it instead.

We are already at houses across west Houston doing roofing and exterior work. Adding the short list to an existing visit costs a fraction of sending someone out for it alone, and it gets priced the same way everything else here is priced: materials at what we paid, labor stated as hours, one number agreed before anybody starts.

What we actually do

This is a real list rather than a promise to do anything. If it is not here, ask, and you will get a straight yes or no.

What we will not do, and why we say it here

Texas licenses some trades and we do not hold those licenses. We do not do plumbing, electrical work, gas lines, HVAC or anything structural. That means no repipes, no water heaters, no rewiring, no panel work, no load-bearing changes. A handyman who offers you all of it either holds licenses he is not showing you or is doing work he should not be. If your job needs one of those trades, we will tell you on the call and you will not have wasted a visit.

How small jobs get priced

There is no call-out fee and no minimum charge dressed up as an hourly minimum. You get the hours the work will take and the materials at invoice, in writing, before anyone picks up a tool. If the job turns out smaller than expected you pay for what it was, not what we quoted.

The honest trade-off is scheduling. A single small job on its own day is expensive for everybody, so small work gets grouped, and we will give you a window rather than pretend we can be there in an hour. If it is urgent and water is involved, that is a different call and we treat it as one.

Where a small repair is telling you something bigger

Some of the calls on the list above are symptoms rather than faults, and you deserve to hear that while somebody is standing in front of it.

We will fix what you asked us to fix. We will also tell you plainly when the fix is a patch, because you are the one who has to decide what to do about it.

What it costs, and how you can check

Every job on this page is priced Cost Plus. You see the supplier invoice for the materials, the crew hours at our published rate, the permit and disposal at what they actually cost, and one service fee of 20 to 30 percent set by job complexity and locked before anything starts. There is no second number and no change order conversation after the fact. The full breakdown is here.

Common Questions

Is there a minimum charge or a call-out fee?

No. You get the hours and the materials at invoice, agreed before anyone starts. If the job comes in smaller than quoted you pay what it actually was.

Will you come out for one small job?

Yes, but small work gets grouped into a window rather than a same-hour appointment, because a single short job on its own day costs everybody more. Anything involving active water is treated as urgent instead.

Do you do plumbing or electrical?

No. Texas licenses those trades and we do not hold the licenses, so no repipes, no water heaters, no rewiring and no panel work. We will tell you on the phone rather than after a wasted visit.

Can you fix things while you are here for the roof?

That is the cheapest way to buy small repairs from us. The visit is already paid for by the main job, so you are only paying for the extra hours and materials.

Do you guarantee small repairs?

Yes, the same as any other work. What the guarantee covers is written on the quote before you agree to it, not discovered afterwards.
