How do I know whether I need a repair or a replacement?

Age, the condition of the field, and what the decking looks like. Get it inspected and photographed first. We tell you honestly which one it is, and a repair that buys you five more years is a repair we will recommend.

Those dark streaks on my roof. Is that damage?

Usually algae on a shaded slope rather than structural damage. It does tell you that side of your roof stays wet, which is worth knowing.

Does waiting really cost more?

Yes, and the extra is decking. Shingles cost what they cost. Rotten decking is what a postponed roof adds to the bill.

Should I cut back the trees before the roof?

If a limb is resting on the roof, yes. It will strip granules off a new roof exactly as fast as it did the old one.
