Tamko Storm Fighter Flex Roof in Sienna, Missouri City TX
What the Homeowner Wanted
This Sienna homeowner's roof was 16 years old -- not failing, but past its prime. Several neighbors had filed hail claims recently. Rather than wait for their luck to run out, they wanted to be proactive.
Their question: "Should we just replace with what we have, or upgrade to something more hail-resistant?"
Our Solution
We helped them calculate the break-even point. Their insurer confirmed a 19% discount for a Class 4 roof. The Storm Fighter Flex would "pay for itself" in approximately 8 years through premium savings -- and they'd likely be in the home another 15-20 years.
We installed Tamko Storm Fighter Flex in Rustic Cedar. The scope included:
- Complete tear-off of original builder-grade shingles
- Decking inspection (solid throughout)
- Synthetic underlayment with ice & water shield at eaves and valleys
- Tamko Storm Fighter Flex shingles with Class 4 impact rating
- Conversion from box vents to continuous ridge vent
- All new pipe boots
"Simple Roofing helped us think through the decision properly. They didn't push -- they showed us the numbers. Neighbors filing claims while we're watching Netflix. No regrets."
